Chris is an MD/PhD student in the Neurobiology and Behavior graduate program. He is broadly interested in autophagy’s role in neural physiology and neurodegenerative diseases, and currently studies the intersection of mitochondrial homeostasis, dopaminergic neuron biology, and Parkinson’s disease. Prior to this, Chris worked as a research technician in the lab of Dr. Tom Maniatis at Columbia University investigating autophagy in a model of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). He completed his undergraduate studies in neurobiology at Georgetown University.
